Directly after her little swing set trick, when her neck began hurting, we took her to the after-hours emergency clinic.  After a painful set of neck exams and subsequent x-rays, we were told that there was nothing to do except wait it out & look at surgery if the issue persisted.  She was in such pain…not sleeping, not able to stand-up straight or sit without anguish.  She would simply freeze in fear if anyone came close to her head.   The extreme tension in her forehead is evident in the photo.

Calling Body of Light was the best thing ever.

Dr. Melody was amazing from the 1st moment.  She introduced herself to Emma’s teddy bear, Lilly, and gave the bear an exam, whereby successfully mitigating Emma’s fears.  She worked gently and carefully to diminish the pain and, through the initial days, she provided much needed support to our family as we helplessly watched Emma suffer through terrible bouts of nausea.  She carefully walked us through what to do, how to do it and when to do it.  She made herself available to us 24/7.  The 2nd picture is the result of her tireless work.

Today, Emma emulates Dr. Melody’s treatment processes.  Every stuffed animal she owns has been examined and treated by Dr. Emma.  She runs, plays, jumps and laughs every day.  Our family is so thankful for Dr. Melody’s talent and gift of loving care.  There truly are no words to express our gratitude.
